Dash-8

Bush Pilots (BPA) DC3 VH-EDD in Cairns, Australia. This was one of the last DC3's that were operated by Qantas and was used for training in the late 1960's. The Aircraft was scrapped after it returned from a lease to the then"Air Tasmania" in the mid 1970's after finding that corrosion was taking its toll from carrying abalone across the Bass Straight. It is now used as a fire fighting trainer at Cairns Airport. It's sister ship VH-EDC (ex Qantas)was operated by Bush Pilots (then Air Queensland), until they ceased operations after being incorporated into Australian Airlines (now Qantas). It crashed into Botany Bay in 1995. It was recovered and is expected to fly again.
